Author, scholar, and educator, Daniel Rirdan is the author of Publishers Weekly’s star-reviewed The Blueprint: Averting Global Collapse. From climate change to deforestation, the book deals with the various stressors afflicting the environment and lays out a comprehensive array of mitigation measures in the sectors of energy, economy, transportation and more.
Daniel has been invited to serve as a speaker at universities, academic conferences, and radio shows. He is an Active Member of the professional association Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA), and a former member of the Innovation & Creativity Committee for the Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented (CAGT). Daniel carries teaching licenses in both social studies and elementary education. As a substitute teacher, he has been occasionally teaching in social studies classes notably in Centennial Middle, Eldorado K-8, Aspen Creek K-8, Manhattan Middle, and Boulder and Fairview High. Formerly, he taught in the gifted program at Indian Bend Elementary, and he has developed the curriculum for Threshold School for gifted and creative youth. Daniel Rirdan is the founder of The Exploration Company, where he directed product development, pioneering sophisticated interactive world maps and history map programs for the school market. These programs have been adopted by various school districts throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. Currently, Daniel is working on novel that touches upon many of the social and political maladies of the modern era. He is an only child of Holocaust survivors. Born and raised in Israel, he lives with his wife and two children in Lafayette, CO. |
